We particularily liked the location close to the centre of Lysekil and located in the old part of town. It hotel was located in a lovely old house with other interesting buildings on the same site. The staff was very friendly and helpful re places to eat in the evening. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful.
The only thing we did not like was the size of our room, far too small! It was classed as a standard double but the bed was only a fraction wider then a standard single bed and not very comfortable for 2 grown up people. The room had no wardrobe just a cupboard with shelves so there was no place to hang dresses and skirts for instance. As we were only staying the 1 night it did not matter but would have been a problem for a longer stay.

Had requested one large bed and had twin beds which could not really be easily connected

The hotel has a lovely seaside location with charming traditional decor. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering local ingredients that really hit the spot.
Room sizes tend to be smaller than expected, leaving some guests feeling a bit cramped, and noise isolation isn't great, which can lead to disturbances from neighboring rooms. The bathrooms are also on the small side. If you're looking for a bar or varied dining options, you've got limited choices here, especially during slower seasons. Some amenities feel aged and could use an update to match the hotel's charm.

Very different, individual style to the hotel based upon an old style which fitted well with the building, not 'packaged' like many.

This is a boutique hotel with atmosphere and great surroundings. Great place to unwind. Had a quality dinner on site, but many nearby opportunities exist too.
The breakfast area was overcrowded as the hotel was fully booked during my stay

Picturesque older building on the seaside that is adjacent to a beautiful and accessible nature preserve. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fine full breakfast and excellent shrimp sandwiches and fish soup at their small restaurant in the evening. Comfortable outdoor seating areas with blankets, if needed. Very nice period furnishings in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Gorgeous view of sea and islands.
We liked everything!

Great location near the beach and the town, and good facilities provided. The breakfast was amazing and we had plenty of choices, especially the fresh baked goods were a hit.The hotel was close to the downtown area and a short walk to the seafront.
Rooms were small and provided insufficient space for luggage, which was a major downside if you want to stay for a longer period or with a family. The package was too high priced, and we were disappointed that the facilities promised were not available.

Quiet location by the sea, great Scandinavian breakfast
As a business traveler in winter season, I missed a gym. Spa facilities are only available if you book a specific spa stay.

I had the most enchanting experience at a traditional seaside hotel. The rooms were filled with charm and attention to detail, each telling its own unique story. I especially loved the top floor suite with its terrace. The highlight of my stay was definitely the seaside jacuzzi and sauna experience, followed by a refreshing swim in the sea. The location was fantastic, offering a beautiful view of the water. I highly recommend this hotel for a special getaway.

Wonderful wam welcome, lovely decor, clean and nicely situated
The size of what was described as a double bed - exceptionally small - the only thing that marred an otherwise perfect stay
